The perfect honeymoon for the adventure seekers. If you and your fiancé are looking for adventure for your upcoming honeymoon there are five great locations that will provide a unique and unforgettable experience.
Costa Rica – If you have 7-10 days for a honeymoon, there are so many great places to visit in Costa Rica and activities to keep you going each day. A few highlights from a recent honeymoon itinerary include; Paos Volcano, La Paz Waterfalls, Arenal Volcano Hike, Paraiso Canopy Tour, Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, Manuel Antonio National Park, Mangrove Kayak Tour and the beaches along the drive! Our recommendation would be to spend 4 nights being pampered at a luxurious resort in the rainforest such as Kura Design Villas, three nights in a hot spring resort and three nights beach side.

Belize – A perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, culture and history! We recommend Belize for adventure seekers as the trip is targeted towards those couples looking for snorkeling, diving, scenic flights, and rainforest adventures. You will split your trip into two destinations so will need 8-9 nights to enjoy both relaxation and adventure. Amergis Caye is the perfect destination for a few days of R&R while also getting the opportunity to enjoy daily sailing trips, scuba diving, and snorkeling in the Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley. Your second location will be surrounded by tropical rainforest along the banks of the Macal River. Here you will get the opportunity to explore the rainforest, enjoy an outdoor massage, take a tour of the Mayan ruins, canoe along the river, hike, horseback ride and explore the caves. A unique vacation for those looking for daily activities in a memorable location.
Africa – An African Safari is a one in a lifetime opportunity so if you have the budget it is highly recommended. There are two main areas of Africa we recommend for your first trip and a romantic honeymoon. First South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana as one trip or Kenya, Tanzania and Seychelles as a different trip. You will need two weeks and a hefty budget to truly enjoy Africa and every thing it has to offer. If you have three weeks that is even better to be able to explore the amazing city of Cape Town and it’s Wine Country.
African Safari’s are the perfect balance of romance, adventure and relaxation. Many of the “camps” are better than any five star hotel you will ever experience. The staff are attentive, friendly and truly focused on making your stay perfect. Each day you have the opportunity to experience something new from canoeing with hippos, to riding elephants, to fishing for tiger fish, to visiting local schools, to trying the local cuisine, to night drives, to afternoon boat rides, to sunset safaris, to dinner in the bush, and to ziplining next to Victoria Falls. So much to do, never enough time.
Those who’ve had the honor of staying at Royal Zambezi Lodge in Zambia will never forget both the amazing experience and the exemplary service by the staff.

New Zealand – To truly enjoy your trip to New Zealand you will need two full weeks of time and you have options on the budget you want to spend. Some choose to RV across the country, others fly and a few choose a simple campground and tent each night. With two weeks and an aggressive itinerary you can see much of what New Zealand has to offer on your journey from Auckland to Queenstown. A few things you do not want to miss along the way; Whale Watching in Kaikoura, Boat Trip in Milford Sound, thermal mud pools and volcanos in Rotorua, visit the glowworms in Waitomo caves, hike the Franz Josef Glazier and sky dive in Queenstown. It’s an ambitious itinerary for fourteen days but for the adventurous at heart, it’s manageable. If you can manage eighteen days, this will provide you some time to enjoy the resort town of Queenstown which is known for both extreme sports and total relaxation.
Australia – There are so many great places to see and so many things to do in Australia that you will find yourself running out of time. Two experiences you won’t want to miss are Scuba Diving the Great Barrier Reef and climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. There are so many great opportunities for adventure such as sky diving in Cairns, learning to surf in Byron Bay, hiking in the bush, and sailing the Whitsundays.
