Day 1: You arrive from the US into Johannesburg to connect to our flight to Livingstone, Zambia later that evening. Upon landing in Zambia a private driver will take you to Stanley & Livingstone Private Game Reserve which is located on the Zambia/Zimbabwe border.

Day 2-5: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe - Your first destination in Africa will be an opportunity to see one of the seven natural wonders of the world along with a introduction to game drives. This spectacular reserve is the perfect place to recover from your long flight, and rest up for the experience ahead. Highlights include elephant back safari, shopping in a local market, Victoria Falls hike and Ziplining across the falls for the adventurous.

Day 6-9: Chobe National Park, Botswana - These next few days you will get a full game viewing experience with the highest population of elephants left in Africa located in Chobe National Park, just on the doorstep of your lodge. The days will be filled with game drives and the nights sundowner cruises on the Chobe river.

Day 10-13: Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia - Your next four days will be the most memorable of your trip with incredible service, unique activities, and a once in a lifetime experience. "The lodge finds the perfect balance between contemporary, simplistic style and extreme comfort offering a completely unspoiled wilderness experience." Activities range from days on safari, fishing, nighttime game drives, canoe safari, bush walks, cultural village visit, and just relaxing by your private plunge pool. Also at the Royal Zambezi Lodge enjoy therapeutic massage or beauty treatments. Finally enjoy the evenings watching the sun set over the Zambezi river with cocktails at the stunning Tree Bar or let the staff setup sundowners on the beach or in the water. Day 14: You return back to Lusaka by charter flight today to catch your connecting flight back to the US the following morning .

The best time for safari in this region is May to September during the dry season when the animal congregate near the rivers and waterholes. The morning drives will be cold during this time of year so it is recommended to bring layers. Contrary to what you would think, the best time to visit Victoria Falls is also during this period as the water level is mid-to-low and therefore the best view. Due to the dry season, during this time the mosquitoes will also be less.

A visa is required for this trip and we will help you make sure all visas are approved prior to your departure.
