Aspen, Colorado is not only the perfect destination for ski season but great year round with events throughout the summer like the Jazz Festival and Food & Wine Classic Event. For ski season the two most popular après-ski activities are soaking your weary body in a hot tub and then getting someone to help your aches and pains. The three most recommend spas for couple massages are The Spa at Viceroy, Aspen Club Spa and Remede Spa. Eating and drinking are two other favorite activities of visitors to Aspen with unique restaurants such as Krabloonik, Matsuhisa, Campo de Fiori and Jimmy's. Keep in mind Aspen does get busy so make sure you make reservations before your trip, especially for Matsuhisa (only accepts exactly 30 days before) and Krabloonik.

During the winter months, there are four main mountains you can choose from with one lift ticket and a free shuttle between them. The four mountains are Snowmass, Aspen Mountain (formerly Ajax), Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk. Snowmass is the largest of the mountains and most family friendly where as Aspen is the smallest and most steep of the four mountains. Aspen Mountain is located right downtown so it's a great spot if you are looking for a day off from skiing to enjoy some shopping or if are looking for outdoor après options post skiing. Aspen Highlands goes from easy to extreme, plus some particularly beautiful views. Buttermilk has hosted the winter X Games for the last few years and boasts one of the world's best half-pipes. For your days off from skiing there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied from snowmobiling to hiking to cross country skiing. If you are looking for relaxation book a spa treatment and spend the day in the amazing relaxation room and indoor saunas/pools.
In the spring and summer, visitors enjoy a handful of activities which include biking, horse back riding, hiking, kayaking and paddle boarding on the river. In June, both the Aspen Music Festival and Classic in Aspen (Food & Wine festival) come to town. In September, the summer festival season ends on Labor Day with the JAS Fest which includes Hozier this year and some favorites such as Carrie Underwood, Ziggy Marley and more in the past.
