After your long journey from the US you will arrive in Sydney, Australia for 5 nights of exploring one of the more picturesque cities in the world. Given the time change you will be losing one to two days on the flight over.
Days 1-6: Sydney, Australia. Sydney is packed with so much to do and so many great neighborhoods. Over the next five full days there are some activities not to be missed. First since romance is our focus, fill your backpack with some beverages and snacks and head out to Coogee Beach to begin the Coogee to Bondi Beach Coastal Walk. This two hour cliff top coast walk extends for approximately 6km through Sydney's beachside neighborhoods. Don't rush the walk, spend the day and enjoy the stunning views, rock pools and take a dip in the local beaches. Another enjoyable walk for a different day is from The Opera House to the Botanic Gardens. Don't forget the two most known attractions, the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
If you are adventurous, hike the Sydney Harbour Bridge as it's an experience you will never forget. Spend an afternoon checking out Darling Harbour, exploring The Rocks, and Circular Quay area. The best way to explore Sydney from a tourist's viewpoint is by using the Sydney Ferries, the local public transportation option. I recommend taking the ferry around sunset over to Manly area to experience an evening sunset cruise.

Days 6-7: Airlie Beach, Australia. You will fly direct from Sydney to Airlie Beach and spend the night in Airlie Beach before you meet up with your Catamaran sailing adventure.
Days 7-11: You will spend 5 nights aboard this boat sailing the Whitsunday islands and diving the Great Barrier Reef. An experience like no other. If you prefer not to dive, no worries you can still see amazing marine life while snorkeling the reef.
Days 12-14: After an amazing 5 nights on a boat through the Whitsundays the next stop is Melbourne for a quick 2 nights. You will depart from Melbourne on your 14th day in Australia to begin your journey back to the U.S.
